Sculptures in the forest @ Northcliffe

Along the SW coast is dotted with tiny rural towns & Northcliffe is one such town. Hidden behind the tourist information centre, is a lovely stroll through the forest, with all these strange sculptures done by local artisans.

Anzac day in Albany

I'm abit late with this one. ANZAC DAY in Albany last year. They had a march & ceremony down by the waterfront at the new ANZAC PEACE PARK. Albany was where 59 ships left to take all the Australian & NZ soldiers to the first World war. For some this was the last time they ever saw OZ as they died overseas fighting for KING & COUNTRY.

Valley of the Giants near Walpole

While meandering along the southern coastline of WA we have visited the famous Tingle forest & the Valley of the Giants treetop walk. These trees grow to amazing heights something like 90 metres. Truly awesome to walk along the suspended walkway high up among the trees.

GONE FISHING !!!!

Bob decided to try his luck at fishing. We were camped at Windy harbour near Walpole. Nice spot right on the coast, rugged coastline, sandy beaches & windy & cold.

After several hours Bob returned to camp empty handed. Last time he caught DINNER was in Darwin. Thank goodness for the Fish & Chip shop !!!!!

While staying with friends we met last year while free camping on Ashburton river near Onslow up north WA.
They said if your ever down our way at Nannup call in. We took them up on their offer after Easter this year as it was 60kms from where we had spent Easter.

Di & Mike were very welcoming & took us for several drives to see the local sights.

One afternoon while sitting around the fire out the back of their house, I decided to show them my slideshow of Bullara station.

Klever Kelly sat there & watched 157 slides flash up on my computer.

KELLY THE WONDER DOG. DON'T YOU JUST LOVE HER !!!!
