This morning we woke to a beautiful clear blue sky, which was nice after a few coldy, rainy days.
Our host Karen, sister Robyn & her hubby Gordon are playing local tourist guides today & taking us for a 4WD drive on the bush tracks along the coast. Very rugged & quite a large swell & waves crashing up over the granite rocks & reefs. Robyn & Gordon have a farm just down the road.
Ellensbrook homestead 1827 built by the Bussell family who were one of the early settlers in this region. They ran dairy cows & cattle. It must have been a very lonely & harsh life tucked away in this tiny little glen in the middle of nowhere. Must have taken weeks for supplies to come from Vasse (now called Busselton) which was named after this family.
