After a quick stop at the bakery in Mt Magnet this morning for some fresh bread rolls & couple Danish pastries, it was time to hit the bitumen again. Cue is our next stop 80kms further north. WOW Cue certainly has plenty of old world charm. Started out life in early 1900's when gold was found apparently where the main street now is. The shire office makes you feel welcome, by giving you a "Welcome envelope" with all the tourist stuff. The shire office has a wonderful display of old photo's of when this was once a bustling town. I think the shire now has only about 100 permanent residents, not counting all the "Fly in Fly out" mine workers.
The first building you noticed when you drive into town is the lovely restored local sandstone building. Police station, court house & post office.
The shire office is now housed in what was the "Gentlemen's Club" another lovely old brick building.
We discovered this wonderful 2 storey galvanised iron building in the back street just around the corner from the Gentlemens club. I wonder !!!!! was this the "Ladies of the Night" residence ???? Check out the cute balcony on front of the house.
Old railway station. Once the trains stopped coming to these towns, they certainly seems to set the town on a downward spiral. Everyone leaves town & the towns disappear back to dust & sand
View of main street

Band stand in middle of main street apparently it covers up the original well where the town got it's water supply
