Bremer Bay to Albany

After a week spent @ Bremer bay it was time to move on again. Left Bremer on 1st Dec, didn't travel too far up the road in fact a big days drive 50kms to Pallingup river

Beautiful Bremer bay

"Crocodile Rock"

Bob checking out the scene

Beaufort inlet. We camped here for 2 days. Our neighbour needed a lesson on generator usage. Started it up @ 6.30am & ran it all day until well after 8.30pm. Brand new caravan & no solar power. Next day same thing, that's it Bob, lets go I'm outta here.

Cape Riche. Back in the 1840 -1850's these rocks were used by the French & American whalers to cut up the whales for the meat & oil.

Next stop just up the road as well about 60kms. Nice lovely spot, although the weather wasn't kind to us. Cape Riche was settled around 1840 by George Cheyne who immigrated from Scotland & started farming & grazing sheep.

Cape Riche. Spent 5 days here. Bob did some fishing, still waiting for him to catch something.

Old store warehouse, used by George Cheyne. He set up a private port in the calm bay, whalers & other ships would call in so they didn't have to pay port taxes in Albany.

Flooded camp site after a heavy rain fall during the night. Guess who parked in a bit of a dip!!!!
