Lake Grace

After leaving Nyabing we headed NE to Lake Grace. Lake Grace was a nice surprise as it was a thriving town way out here in the harshness of WA outback. The area desperately needs rain & the paddocks are scorched brown, dams are dry & hand feeding the stock. These farmers & their families are really doing it tough & you have to admire their courage under these dire circumstances.

Newdegate is 50kms east of Lake Grace & not much left of the town, pub,PO & IGA store!!

Another sad railway station, all these towns once had a thriving township due to the trains that ran along these tracks way out here in the outback towns. These days they are very sad reminders of the past!!!!
