Overland Corner Hotel

For centuries the Overland corner area has proved popular with weary travellers. Large areas of flat land , accessible river banks & adjacent towering cliffs offered a convenient place to rest for drovers moving thousands of sheep from NSW to the new colony in SA, during the 1800's. Overland corner hotel was built in 1859 & is still trading after all these years

On the road again heading towards Kapunda to meet up with Pam & Garry friends from Newcastle who are housesitting there.

Note the 1956 flood level on side of the building
