Swan Reach 126kms from Adelaide. This attractive river town was settled in 1899 when Swan Reach station owner Paul Hesse subdivided a portion of his land. During the first half of the century the town fought a constant battle with flood, culminating in 1956 when most of the businesses in main street were washed away. Today there is a general store, PO, caravan park & hotel. The Murray Princess also makes a stop here
