Old Wilpena Pound station

Just outside the park on way back to main road, is the very well preserved Old Wilpena station dating back to early 1800's. It is now run by the National parks. Spent couple hours wandering around looking at all the old buildings. These remote stations were a small town themselves, with blacksmiths, stables, shepherd cottages, & many other out buildings
