River Port of Morgan

After finally removing the rock from the wheel & catching the ferry back across the river we headed for Morgan about 10kms away.
Morgan was a very busy river port in its hey day of the paddle steamers plying the river & at one point had 6 trains a day calling into the station. Trains ceased in 1969

Morgan still has a large wooden wharf from a by-gone era

Rumour has it that this was a brothel way back when the town was alive with river men!!! Building definitely needs some TLC
