Meadows

Meadows is the next village 10kms along the road from Echunga. Strong dairy farming & forestry area. The town itself has several historic buildings, craft shops, winery & excellent bakery (which we didn't try) & a good pub (haven't tried it out either) Off on another exploring trip today. Not sure where we will end up.

After leaving Meadows we got absolutely lost took off down a dirt road through countryside, dairy farms & forests. Came across farmer "Brown" herding his "Girls" across the road to Greener pastures!!! We asked them for directions & as luck would have it we were only about 100 metres from main road to Goolwa. We turned right & ended up in Willunga for lunch at the bakery. Pies of course!!!!

Willunga these days is identified with Almonds & the Almond Blossom festival late July. Loads of nice old buildings dating back to 1840's reminder of regions rich history. We will probably come back on 30th July to see the Blossom festival, street parade etc.
