John McKinlay bus tour - Gawler

The month of May is history month in SA & all the towns etc have all sorts of tours, exhibition, art shows etc on during this time. Gawler had a bus tour for $5 per person on history of John McKinlay - explorer, who went looking for the ill fated Burke & Wills. John & his party left from the Willaston inn suburb of Gawler. Little did they know they had already perished in the outback a month before they set out to look for them. The trip took about 1 hour & visited the house where Joh lived with Jane, church where they were married & cemetery where they are both buried.
