Lake Queerearrup

Lake Queerearrup is a salt lake about 30kms west Woodanilling. Took us ages to find it, well kept secret of the locals. Another free camp spot, but still blowing a gale. The lake has a pink tinge to it due to the caroten microbes.

Bob went down to waters edge to take some photos & his hat fell into the water, & came out like he had left it in GRANNIES STARCH POT, stiff as a board & worse still took his socks of to retrieve the hat & dropped his socks & they walked back to camp by themselves!!!!! That's how salty the lake is.

Many of the towns & lakes & places, end in "UP" apparently it comes from the Aboriginal name for these places, depending on who you talk to it means "Meeting place" OR "place with water"

Very sad farm house, certainly has seen better days. Looks like it has been hit by some really strong winds.
