Around town in Leinster

Leinster is a closed mining town for BHP Billiton. Permanent population of 300 & 1100 fly in fly out. We were able to go to the mess on Sunday night for dinner $15 each for a fabulous spread. Huge salad bar & hot food, soup, sweets, fruit etc. Meals for miners are part of the package & most had their snack boxes with them & filled them up for next meal on the job at mine work face.
Bob had a game of golf with a couple Gary & June that we had met in Sandstone. They said it was the hardest course they have ever played. Dragging the buggy thru the sand was tough going!!!

Lovely swimming pool

A stroll around town & I found all these lovely native plants flowering

Mauve wildflowers along the highway

Sturt pea

Mulla mulla
