Sunday morning the 24th October the weather turned nasty & had the biggest storm. Balzano barrow race is in honour of all the prospectors who travelled to goldfields using these traditional barrows. The race is run from Kanowna (ghost town) 23kms NE Kalgoorlie. Most of the 34 entrants were team of 5 who took turns in pushing the barrow, although there were a couple people who run the distant all by themselves
