Broad Arrow Tavern & Ora Banda pub

38kms up the highway from Kalgoorlie is the historic 100 year old corrugated iron Broad Arrow Tavern. Most of the town has disappeared but the mine still operates.

Broad Arrow tavern

Check out this amazing bar with all this writing on walls & bars, in the dunnies, years & years of graffitti

I left our "Witchwae" mark in ladies dunny!!!

Water tank use to supply water for the steam trains that once travelled up & down the railway line

3okms west Broad Arrow is Ora Banda historic pub, turns 100 next year.

Pub has an interesting history, in 2000 it was owned by a cop & one weekend they had a visit from a bikie gang. One of the leaders was insulting to owners daughter. That night the bikie was shot in sleep down the road where they had camped. The bikies burnt the pub down. Sometime later the cop & a friend had been to the races in Perth & when the returned to the car, they were blown up by a car bomb. The pub was restored in 2006 & has been opened since then. Big tourist attraction.

Cute miners cottage
