Menzies old mine shafts

5kms south of Menzies we saw these old mine shafts right beside the road. Stopped to have a look, they are all over the bush especially where you see quartz rock & this is a good indication that there might be gold around. It never ceases to amaze me how many huge holes there are from nining in WA + very large man made mountains, 100's of them.
