White line fever to Leonora

After we left Leinster it was "WHITE LINE FEVER" again the road just goes on & on & on, dead straight, hardly a bend & all you do is follow that long white line, hour after hour. I don't know how the truckies drive hundreds of kilometers a day.

Don't you just love this sign on wall near the swimming pool

Wildgrasses

Leonora detention centre that is housing a load of boat people from Afghanistan & Sri Lanka. This place made all the TV station news when they brought the people into town. Things seem to have settled, I thought we would see them wandering around the streets but no sign of them anywhere. The guy that runs the pool said it had brought some $$ into the town & that the men & boys are brought to pool for a swim with a guard. Unfortunatly the women & girls don't get the chance to come.

Detention centre on outskirts of Leonora

Very inviting pool & Bob & I had been talking to the guy earlier in the day & when we went back for a swim, he let us in for nicks. Thank you !!!

Bob at the pool, water was still a bit chilly, but we cooled off & then sat in sun like a couple of lizards warming up!!!!!!!!!!

Mining display on the way into town
